WHEN YOU CALL


Information We Need When You Call:

  1. Is your question about medical, life, dental, vision, prescription or pension?

  2. What is the member’s social security number?

  3. What company does/did the member work for?

  4. Do you know the member’s group number?

  5. Who is the patient and what is their relationship to the member?

  6. What type of doctor or service are you asking about? Be specific! For instance, if  you ask what your Plan pays for a
    doctor’s office visit when you’re going to the Chiropractor, you may not find out that your Plan has a list of
    Chiropractors that you must use in order to have coverage. 

PLEASE NOTE:  Our service representatives are required to announce their names when answering calls. Please make a note of the person who has assisted you and make sure you give us enough information for us to give you the appropriate answer.

Our Benefit Information Center in Alhambra and our offices in San Diego and Las Vegas now accept appointments. The Benefit Adviser will be more than happy to assist you with your Pension and Health & Welfare inquiries at your appointed time.

Appointments are scheduled between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (between 8:00 a.m and 4:30 p.m. for the Las Vegas office) Monday through Friday. Walk-ins are still welcome, but you can avoid the wait by making an appointment ahead of your visit. We can have your file information ready and waiting for you so that we can serve you more efficiently. Accessing your benefit information on line just got easier. Register as a member or a dependent and we will be able to give you current eligibility, claims that have been paid under your medical or dental plan. We even give you a quick summary of your benefits in an easy to print format that you can keep for your referance or take with you to your doctor.
